OUR FAVOURITE PLACES
The Accumoli Lakes
A magical place reached by a beautiful hike suitable for a wide range of walkers, winding through mountain ridges and forests.
Along the way, you may encounter herds of horses roaming freely and cattle grazing in the mountain pastures.
The route begins along a dirt road accessible from the ridge reached by car after passing the village of Forca Canapine.
Monte Patino — 1,880 m
A challenging hike with approximately 1,000 metres of elevation gain, starting from Forchetta d’Ancarano.
The trail climbs the beautiful mountain overlooking the Norcia valley, eventually reaching the ridge and the summit, marked by its great cross.
We recommend undertaking this hike only in good weather conditions and avoiding periods when snow-filled gullies are present.
Monte Vettore — 2,476 m
At 2,476 metres, Monte Vettore is the highest peak of the Sibillini Mountains.
The easiest starting point is Forca di Presta, reached after crossing the Piano Grande of Castelluccio when travelling from Norcia; the turn-off is a few kilometres to the right.
A moderately demanding hike, recommended only in conditions of excellent visibility.
